Stonewall Inn. A bar frequented by Drag Queens. June 28.
A police raid. Nothing unusual. Police regularly raid bars with Gay clientele. Tonight was different. Enough was enough. The Drag Queens barricade themselves inside the bar and start throwing coins at the cops, inciting a riot. More riots followed. Pockets of people form Gay Groups to fight their oppression. The Gay Activist movement is born. The law is changed. The first Gay Pride march June 28. 1970. And YET 30 years later we STILL face oppression. Prop 8. USA. EVIL. Funded by millions of dollars of church funds. BUT, no matter what organised religion tells you. Always remember:
