GEORGE & MARK RONSON COLLABORATION

George has collaborated with Mark Ronson's for Mark's new album to be released later this year. The album will be called 'Record Collection' by Mark Ronson and The Business Intl.

The song, called 'Somebody To Love Me', is said to be the best track on the album by Ronson himself when he launched the album at The Ivy, London, on Thurs 29 April.

'Record Collection' is due out 27 Sept 2010

GEORGE'S NEW ALBUM

Okay, the lastest news is that the 'Extraordinary Alien' will now be called 'Ordinary Alien' instead. George changed the title a fews weeks ago.

Release details have changed too.
The album will be released by Decode, and no fixed date has been announced, although a spokesperson for Decode has said that they anticipate and late Oct release within the UK, other territories may vary.

It will still consist of 16 tracks with mixes of songs such as Turn 2 Dust, Yes We Can, Brand New, Go Your Own Way, Time Machine, Seconds, Sanitised, Kill The A&R, Look Pon U and much more!

New artwork is being prepared and we will feature it here asap.

Culture Club scored a double whammy in the MTV Greatest Song Of The 80's competition!

Both of the Culture Club songs that were entered into the competition came out tops, proving yet again that George and Culture Club really were the voice of the 80's.

AMAZING GRACE
Marys Mix

This exclusive mix of Amazing Grace was made especially for Bob Fierro and his mother, Mary.

Bob Fierro, in case you didn't know, is a dear friend of George, who runs Zebra Marketing, who have been George and Culture Club's merchandisers since the early Culture Club days.

His mother Mary died recently, and George and co remixed the tune so that it could be played at Mary's funeral.

Amazing Grace was a rather fitting tune to celebrate the life of one amazing woman!

RIP Mary, and big love to Bob and family. xx

GEORGE mixes AMANDA LEAR

Amanda Lear feat. Deadstar 'Someone Else's Eyes', remixed by Boy George and Kinky Roland will now be released as a CD sigle on 10 May 2010

George and Kinky Roland originally remixed the Amanda Lear classic "Someone Else's Eyes" to be included on Amanda's remix version of her album Brief Encounters

The remix album, Brief Encounters - Reloaded , due out early May, will also feature a version of "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?" sung by Amanda in her inimitable seductive style as a never before released bonus track.

Boy George has recorded a track for the violinist Nigel Kennedy’s upcoming album.

The song entitled ‘Riverman’ appears on Nigel Kennedy Quintet's new disc, set for release on 10 May 2010 on EMI Classics.

WORRIED ABOUT THE BOY
new BBC drama

The 90 minute drama 'Worried About The Boy' will be premiered on BBC2 on 16th May. Focusing on George's early career and how he leapt from being a cloakroom attendant to a cultural icon.

Newcomer Douglas Booth (pictured) plays the role of George.
Matthew Horne (from Gavin & Stacy, Catherine Tate Show etc) play Jon Moss.
Other legendary characters include Steve Strange played by Marc Warren (best know for Hustle), and Malcolm McLaren played by Mark Gatiss (League Of Gentlemen).

Controller of BBC drama commissioning Ben Stephenson said: "Worried About The Boy will be an evocative and visually enticing drama about one of our most iconic British pop stars."
The BBC Two film, commissioned as part of the channel's 80s series, has been written by Tony Basgallop, who has worked on Hotel Babylon.
