It's been announced that Yes We Can will be George's next single release, with a release date of October 12th.
The single will be released worldwide on Itunes and other legal download sites and distributed by Universal Music.
George is also working on tracks for his forthcoming album.

This is a re-issue CD of a great eighties vinyl album. It has some great eighties bands and tracks on it, but is well worth buying for it's Culture Club contribution alone.
The I'm Afraid Of Me (Disconet Remix) is a very rare remix of one of Culture Clubs classic tracks and can only be found on this album.

Manchester PrideGEORGE at
MANCHESTER PRIDE

It has been announced that George will will DJing at this years Manchester Pride Festival

The festival takes place between the 15th and 25th August, with George taking part in the festivities on Friday the 22nd.
Heather Small, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Alphabeat have already confirmed they will be performing at the festival, which is the celebration of lesbian and gay life in the city.
Andrew Stokes, chairman of Manchester Pride, said the festival line-up is one of the strongest yet. He said: "We're really excited to have such an iconic artist performing at our 18th birthday bash.

TourGEORGE'S VISA PROBLEMS
- THE LATEST!
U.S. TOUR OFFICIALLY CANCELLED

After much confusion and frustration and the hope that the denied visa application might be reconsidered by the US authorities, George's management were today (30th June) told that this will NOT be the case.



Therefore sadly the US tour has been cancelled.


The CANADIAN dates have now been cancelled too.


George's concert in France, and the UK Tour are UNAFFECTED and will of course go ahead as planned!


George's manager has said:

At the moment, Boy George cannot come to the United States of America because he has been refused permission to enter by the USA Administration. This is not in respect of anything he has done in the past but because he is facing a trial in November in London for something that happened in April last year. George's lawyers in London have absolutely forbidden us to speak about the facts of that case and all I can say is that George is astounded at the decision and is having lawyers here in the States look at it in the hope that someone will change their mind. George has not been convicted of anything in London and there is a presumption in the Western World of innocence until proven guilty. The proceedings that George faces in London are of course important and serious but George has been given unconditional bail by the Police and Courts in London thereby permitting him to travel anywhere in the World. He is clearly not considered any form of risk in London in that regard and in that respect we are asking the US Authorities to reconsider their position. George has cooperated fully with all investigations and enquiries into the case and has put forward a full and detailed defence. We would love to be able to tell you what that defence is but we say again that we are absolutely forbidden by George's London lawyers to do so because if it gets its way back to England it could amount to a contempt of Court. George really would love to come to America and repay his American fans loyalty and that is why we are asking the US Authorities to reconsider their decision.

Tour'YES WE CAN'
HEAR GEORGE'S LATEST SONG

George has written and recorded a new song in celebration of the prospect of America's first black president Barack Obama.


"I was deeply moved and motivated by Obama's 'Yes We Can' speech and I used it as a metaphor for personal change because there have been huge changes in my own life this past year. 'Yes We Can' equates as 'Yes I Can' from my own personal perspective.... I'm not too concerned about alienating Republicans because I'm pretty sure my audience is mostly Democratic!" George has said.

TourGEORGE PERFORMS FOR NYC SANITATION WORKERS!

News has broken that George will be giving a FREE concert purely for NYC sanitation workers on Aug 17th.


"The people I worked alongside showed great kindness to me at a very difficult time, and I wanted to thank them all in a way that would show my appreciation," George has said.


The concert which shall take place in Brooklyn, at the sanitation department training centre will be part of the 'family day', and is only open to sanitation workers and their families.

TourTHE TWIN RETURNS?!

George's alter ego The Twin returned to the stage this week (28 May 08) to perform at the final night of the legendary club 'Nag Nag Nag'!

The Twin sang two songs, Teenage Rampage and Turn To Dust.

On the 18th April George performed and DJed at the Bacardi B-Live event in Moscow.
He sang 3 songs, one of which was Genarations Of Love mixed in with a famous russian folk song and backed by a russian choir with an orchestra using authentic russian instruments.

AtomsNOT GUILTY PLEA

George appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court today (28 Feb 08) to answer charges of the false imprisonment of Audun Carlsen that allegedly took place on the 28 April 07.
In the 20 minute hearing George spoke only to confirm his name and to give his 'not guilty' plea.
He is now bailed to return for trial on November 24 2008.

George has been confirmed to play this years RETROFEST, which is to take place on the 30-31st August at Strathclyde Country Park, in Scotland.
